Night Advocate Position
Salary: $8.00 per hour/Part-time
Beyond Violence Inc., a women’s domestic and sexual assault shelter dedicated to ending violence against women and children. We are currently seeking a passionate and committed individual to join our team as a Night Advocate.
As a Night Advocate, you will play a critical role in providing crisis intervention and support services to survivors of domestic and sexual assault. Working primarily during night hours, you will ensure the safety and security of our clients, while also providing emotional support and information about available resources and services.
Responsibilities:
-Provide crisis intervention and support services to women and children who are survivors of domestic and sexual assault.
-Work primarily during night hours to ensure the safety and security of clients, and to respond to emergencies as needed.
-Assist clients with their basic needs, such as food, shelter, and clothing, while also providing emotional support and information about available resources and services.
-Maintain accurate records of client interactions and complete required paperwork in a timely and efficient manner.
-Perform other duties as assigned by the organization.
Qualifications:
-Advocate must also possess excellent phone etiquette and be able to answer the phone professionally and efficiently.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
-Demonstrated commitment to ending violence against women and children.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
