Beyond Violence provides assistance with the following protection orders in Columbia, Montour, and Lower Luzerne counties: Protection From Abuse (PFA), Sexual Violence Protection Orders (SVPO), and Protection From Intimidation (PFI). Protection From Abuse (PFA)
A Protection From Abuse (PFA) order is appropriate in situations involving physical abuse, sexual abuse, or stalking when the victim and the defendant share a qualifying relationship. This includes family or household members, current or former intimate or sexual partners, or individuals who share a child.

Sexual Violence Protection Order (SVPO)
A Sexual Violence Protection Order (SVPO) is appropriate in cases involving sexual violence where the victim and the perpetrator do not have, and have never had, a family, household, or intimate partner relationship.

Protection From Intimidation (PFI)
A Protection From Intimidation (PFI) order is appropriate in cases of harassment or stalking where the victim and the perpetrator do not have, and have never had, a family, household, or intimate partner relationship. PFIs specifically apply when the victim is under the age of 18 and the defendant is 18 or older.
